30 MAY ’22: For one of the leading organisations in the Medical Devices industry, we are currently looking for a Staff Process Excellence Engineer. This Medical Devices organisation is known for their innovative Medical Devices and high standards and quality.


Staff Process Engineer Excellence drives tactics to support the business strategy in achieving its. In this role, your primary responsibilities are to implement the organisation’s programs and initiatives related to production systems, culture, and continuous improvement.

Key skills include acting as a change agent, building good relationships with people at all levels of the organisation and building the capacity of their employees through training and mentoring. High-quality customer and service focus to enable operations to meet site S&OP obligations with high-quality products reliably.

  • Responsible for maintaining the site project portfolio, PMO process and developing, supervising, and reporting (site) metrics;
  • Responsible with sponsors for the development of business cases, measures & problem and communicating business related issues or opportunities to the next management level;
  • Build capabilities of all their employees by providing training and coaching on: JJPS, Lean 6Sigma, A3 thinking and Change management;
  • Develop programs, initiatives and or projects that create customer value and drive the business strategy and achieve their ambition;
  • Implement programs, initiatives and or projects within the Mentor LDN site, such as JJPS-program, cultural and CI initiatives;
  • Maintain current VSM and develop future state VSM.


We are looking for someone who has work experience in a regulated environment, e.g. Medical Device or (Bio)Pharma. Proven working knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, minimum Green Belt Certified, Black Belt is preferred.

  • 6-8 years of work experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science field;
  • Strong analytical data-driven root cause problem solver;
  • Provide Training & Coaching to all employees and SLT;
  • Expert in business improvement methodologies such as Lean 6 Sigma, and A3 thinking;
  • Fluent in English and preferred Dutch;
  • Works independently: plan, prioritise and implement work, also in absence of specific instructions;
  • Setting balanced priorities in order of People, Safety, Quality, Service and Costs.
